George's Kayaks offers a new and spectacular bioluminescent 'bio bay' night kayak tour through a lush mangrove forest. Travel by kayak to a newly discovered bio-bay only minutes from Seven Mile Beach. Witness the sea light-up as you paddle around a mangrove forest. The amazing bioluminescent spectacle occurs due to tiny single-celled organisms emitting light when moved in the water. This new Bio-Bay has certain physical conditions that have allowed a high concentration of these single celled bio organisms to accumulate, and as a result, provide a once in a life time experience. This fascinating night time phenomena occurs in only a few other locations in the world, making it a true must-do for all visitors to Grand Cayman.
George's Kayaks is the only business offering night bioluminescence kayak tours at this new location, just minutes from all the hotels along Seven Mile Beach. Each tour lasts for one hour.
Other bioluminescent kayak tours in Cayman would have you drive fifty minutes to the other side of the island in the middle of the night, but now you can see the bioluminescence in a location that is only a few minutes away from Seven Mile Beach. Bioluminescent tours are scheduled only on certain nights of the month when the night is darkest, thus allowing the bioluminescence to be seen clearly, and providing a superior experience.
Kayaking in the dark of night is a very exciting experience, yet at the same time, is relaxing and peaceful. The area is in a lagoon that is well protected from the outside ocean, resulting in minimal waves. This bioluminescent kayak tour is great for anyone who wants to get outside and try something new.
George's Kayaks offers free pick-up for any hotel guests staying along Seven Mile Beach, and even if you have your own car but are unsure of how to get to the Yacht Club, we can drive to you, and you can follow us in your own car.
All groups are limited to nine people, giving guests a far more private and in-depth tour experience. Cameras are not recommended on tour because it is very difficult to capture pictures of the bioluminescence at night, and special photography equipment is needed. Also, the flash from the cameras would detract from the experience of other guests.
George is very passionate and experienced in what he does, delivering a professional, unforgettable kayaking experience to every guest. George was born and raised in Grand Cayman, and has been kayaking since he was a child.
